Who I am
I’m Amanda, a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist.
I support families during one of the most emotional and transformative seasons of life: the postpartum period. My work is focused on helping parents feel supported, confident, and less overwhelmed as they adjust to life with a new baby.
I’ve worked with many families in different situations, from first-time parents to growing families, and I always bring a calm, compassionate, and judgment-free approach. My support includes newborn care, feeding support, emotional support, and practical guidance so you can rest, recover, and feel more confident in your own home.
I truly believe that every family deserves to feel cared for, heard, and supported after birth. My goal is to be a steady, reassuring presence during this transition, helping you feel more at ease and more confident every step of the way.

FAQs
-
A postpartum doula is a trained professional who supports you during the weeks after your baby is born. They help with newborn care, feeding support, recovery, and emotional support so you can rest, heal, and feel more confident during this transition.
-
A postpartum doula does not provide medical care. Instead, they focus on emotional support, newborn care, and practical guidance for the family. Midwives and nurses handle medical needs, while a doula supports you with comfort, education, and day-to-day help during the postpartum period.
-
During a shift, I focus on caring for your baby while also supporting you. This can include newborn care, feeding support, soothing, and helping you rest and recover, always based on your family’s needs and preferences.
-
It’s best to book early in pregnancy, since doulas are often fully booked months in advance. However, you can always reach out to check availability, even after your baby is born.
-
At the moment, I accept Carrot benefits only. I can provide invoices and any documentation needed for reimbursement. If you have questions about your coverage, feel free to reach out.
-
I provide postpartum support throughout the Peninsula, San Francisco, and the South Bay. If you’re not sure whether I serve your area, feel free to reach out and ask.
-
To make sure you receive consistent, high-quality care, the minimum booking is 8 hours per night for nighttime support and 4 hours per shift for daytime support.
